SEL isn’t just for schools—it’s a life skill. When we grow our capacity to feel, connect, and lead with compassion, we create healthier relationships with others and ourselves.
I am in the process of completing the 200-hour Mindfulness, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and Yoga Teacher Training through Breathe For Change, a program designed to empower educators and leaders to foster well-being in themselves and their communities.
This comprehensive training provides me with a 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT-200) certification, recognized by Yoga Alliance, and a Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator (SEL*F) certification. The curriculum emphasizes trauma-informed, equitable, accessible, community-based, and healing-centered approaches to teaching yoga and mindfulness. Through this program, I gain practical skills to lead inclusive yoga classes, facilitate SEL and mindfulness practices, and design wellness workshops tailored for diverse populations.
The training also deepens my personal practice, enhances my understanding of yoga philosophy and anatomy, and connects me with a supportive community of like-minded educators and wellness practitioners. This experience has enriched my capacity to integrate holistic wellness practices into my professional work, promoting healing and resilience across various settings of their background or financial situation.
